This Haynes Vineyard, located in a cool pocket of the southeastern Napa Valley-Coombsville. Mt. George, the once-active volcano that coated this region with its characteristic layer of volcanic soils,
looms to the north. The oldest blocks of Haynes original vines were planted in 1966 by Pat and Duncan Haynes. They continue to produce amazing wines boasting ethereal perfumed aromas and a delicate and elegantly
silken texture. Fernando Delgado has lived on and managed the care for the vineyard since 1970. The original Pinot Noir vines are likely the old
Martini selection, planted under the tutelage of Louis Martini, Sr., himself. The Chardonnay comes from the famed Old Wente mother block. The Haynes Vineyard attracted none other than the great Andre Tchelistcheff who was an early winemaker on the property. When one sips on a glass of Haynes Vineyard Pinot Noir or Chardonnay, you are drinking a glorious example of California wine history.
